By News   Desk

The investigation into the disappearance of Gurucharan Singh, the actor who portrayed the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular TV show "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," has taken a significant turn as it reaches Mumbai. Gurucharan, also known as Sodhi from the show, has been missing since April 22, and there has been no major development in the case until now.

According to sources, the investigation has now expanded to Mumbai, with authorities questioning Gurucharan's castmates and friends. A team from Delhi has arrived in Mumbai to investigate the missing case and piece together the missing details.

The source revealed that everyone associated with Gurucharan is cooperating with the investigation to the fullest extent. "People involved with the case since the initial stage, cast of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,' his friends, and family members are being questioned," the source said. "This is to ascertain his state of mind and see if they are missing something important in the investigation."

The source added that the investigation team is making phone calls to check about the case and the individuals' association with Gurucharan. "Everyone so far has been really supportive," they said, indicating the television industry's cooperation in the matter.

Gurucharan Singh was reported missing last week after failing to catch a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. His last traced location was in Delhi, and his phone has been switched off since then. His father filed a missing person report at the Palam Police Station in Delhi.

According to earlier reports, the Delhi Police's initial investigation revealed that Gurucharan was soon to get married and faced financial struggles. It was also found that he withdrew ₹7,000 from an ATM in Delhi before his disappearance.

The police monitored CCTV footage around Gurucharan's home in Delhi to trace the route he took to the airport. His last known location, on April 24, was traced to Palam, a few kilometers away from his home.

Gurucharan's disappearance has shocked the television industry, with bodies like the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) being informed about the matter. However, there has been no major development in the case yet, and everyone is waiting and watching for updates.

Gurucharan, who became a household name for his comic timing in "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," bid adieu to the show in 2020. In the past, he had also revealed that he was approached for the reality show “Bigg Boss OTT.”
