Taking to Twitter, the actor highlighted the challenges faced by hundreds of people seeking his help through WhatsApp. "Still my account doesn't work. Time to wake up guys. It's been more than 36 hours. Message me directly on my account asap. Hundreds of needy people must be trying to reach for help. Kindly do your bit," Sonu Sood tweeted, tagging WhatsApp's official handle.

Sood shared screenshots of his WhatsApp account displaying a message: "This account can no longer use WhatsApp…Chats are still on this device. Check review status." The actor had previously raised the issue on the microblogging platform, stating, "My number does not work on @WhatsApp. I have been facing this problem many times. I feel time for you guys to upgrade your services."

During the nationwide lockdown in 2020, Sonu Sood emerged as a beacon of hope for countless migrant workers stranded across the country. He arranged transportation and facilitated the safe return of thousands to their hometowns. His philanthropic initiatives have earned him widespread admiration and a dedicated following among those seeking assistance.
