The US Police have dismissed reports suggesting that Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, was killed in a recent shooting incident in California. The speculation emerged after two men were shot in Fresno, California, on Tuesday, resulting in one fatality.
Following the shooting incident at the intersection of Fairmont and Holt Avenue in Fresno, many took to social media to speculate that the person killed was the notorious gangster Goldy Brar. The reports quickly gained traction, and some news agencies also picked up the information.
Responding to the widespread speculation, the Fresno Police Department categorically denied the reports, labeling them as "untrue" and "misinformation." Lieutenant William J. Dooley of the Fresno Police Department said, "If you are inquiring because of the online chatter claiming that the shooting victim is 'Goldy Brar', we can confirm that this is absolutely not true."
Dooley expressed surprise at the rapid spread of the rumor, stating, "We have received inquiries from around the world this morning as a result of misinformation being spread on social media and online news agencies. We are not sure who started this rumour, but it caught on and spread like wildfire. But again, it isn't true. The victim is definitely not Goldy."
According to local reports, the man killed in the shooting incident has been identified as 37-year-old Xavier Galdney, further dispelling the rumors surrounding Goldy Brar's alleged involvement.
Satinderjit Singh, alias Goldy Brar, is a wanted criminal who was named a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. A Red Corner Notice was issued against him by Interpol, and there is already a non-bailable warrant out for his arrest. Believed to be a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala through a Facebook post in May 2022.
