Dubai Airports Urges Passengers Not to Arrive Unless Flights Confirmed

By News   Desk

Amidst disruptions caused by recent inclement weather, Dubai Airports has urged passengers not to head to the airport unless their flights have been confirmed. The advisory also recommended arriving only two hours before the scheduled departure time.

The advisory comes as Emirates Airlines has decided to suspend check-in for all customers across its network travelling with onward connections through Dubai until 23:59 GMT on April 19. This temporary measure aims to support operations recovery at the airline's Dubai hub following the adverse weather conditions.

In a statement, Emirates clarified that passengers already in Dubai and in transit will continue to be processed for their flights as scheduled. However, customers travelling to Dubai as their final destination may proceed with check-in and travel as usual.

The Dubai-based carrier has advised all customers to check the latest flight schedules on its website, as delays in departures and arrivals are expected in the aftermath of the weather disruptions.

For passengers whose travel plans have been impacted, Emirates has recommended contacting their booking agent or the airline's offices for rebooking options. The airline has acknowledged the currently high call volumes and apologized for any delays in responding to customer inquiries.

As the busiest international transit hub, Dubai Airport has been working to restore normal operations following the recent spell of bad weather. Authorities are urging passengers to exercise caution, check flight statuses, and arrive at the recommended times to ensure a smooth travel experience.
