Nagpur Sets Elite World Records with Voter Awareness Lesson Engaging 8100 Participants

On April 6, 2024, Nagpur District in Maharashtra, India, achieved a remarkable feat in promoting electoral participation and civic engagement. Under the leadership of Dr. Vipin Itankar, IAS, District Election Officer, and Saumya Sharma, IAS, SVEEP Nodal Officer, a Voter Awareness Lesson gathered 8,100 participants, setting a new world record. Certified by Elite World Records and India Records Academy, this event received acclaim for its contribution to strengthening democratic values and effective public service leadership.

Dr. Vipin Itankar, IAS, initiated "Mission Distinction 75%" to attain a minimum 75% voter turnout, emphasizing active democratic participation. The Voter Awareness Lesson covered topics such as the Importance of Voting and voting procedures for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), aiming to educate and mobilize eligible voters. The session concluded with a mass pledge, highlighting collective commitment to democratic values.

Dr. Itankar emphasized the significance of voter awareness programs in enhancing democratic values and fostering informed decision-making. He noted the record-breaking participation as a testament to the success of the voter awareness campaign, underscoring its role in encouraging civic participation.
